My multi-segment experience in the travel industry - airline, cruise lines, tour operators and event production - kept my travel industry consulting business going until 9/11 when it, literally, went up in smoke.

As a result, I transformed the company to produce sponsor-supported bilingual (Spanish & English) healthy lifestyle events. Unfortunately, though I was doing good for the community, I was not doing well for myself financially.
